SAINA NEHWAL: A Hope for India

SAINA has achieved what no Indian has achieved ever. This moment is really significant in India Badminton history and is surely cherished by fans in India.

Saina Nehwal created a history today by beating 3rd rank Chinese Li Wang in finals of Super Series tournament today.

Saina Nehwal is currently no 8th ranked by Badminton World Federation. She became 1st Indian to win super series tournament.

The final lasted around 49 mins and she has beaten Wang 12-21, 21-18, 21-9 which is best ever performance by any Indian Women.

Badminton Association of India announced 2 Lakhs Rs prize for her achievement which is significant in Indian Badminton.

BAI President said in his statement

"It is a big moment in Indian badminton. We are proud of her achievement. We are announcing a cash reward of Rs two lakhs as an acknowledgment of Saina's hard work and achievement."

Saina Nehwal last year was knocked out from Olympics in Quarter finals.

She is taking coaching under Indian Badminton legend Pulela Gopichand.

Earlier she has won Philippines open in 2006 and then ranked 86th now ranked 8th which is likely to be higher in future after achieving this feet.
