World Heritage Committee: 33rd session

The World Heritage committee 33rd session will be held in Seville city of Spain from 22nd June to 30th June 2009.
Since World Heritage list is increasing every year and approaching 1000 sites, so handling monitoring of these sites is subject of concern and how to upkeep these sites will be discussed and will be examined by International conservation community in this session.
Director of UNESCO World Heritage center Francesco Bandarin was worried about limited staff and financial resources, but he also said
“There is nothing wrong with having a thousand properties inscribed in the World Heritage list”
